Dancing and Music

Mon Sep 15, 2008, 1:06 AM
Well it's been quite a while since I've updated my journal and school has definately not helped that, but I'll have a bit of a ramble now.

The fire that was in me to learn Irish tap dancing has once again flamed up and I have been downloading learn to Irish dance videos off youtube like crazy (if anyone knows where I can find more please tell me!), and I'm pleased it has actually paid off. My hope is that during the end of year holidays I will be able to progress even further, as I've spotted a Celtic Feet DVD at JB Hi-Fi where one of the principal artists from Riverdance teaches you the basics, and so I have promptly put it on my Birthday/Christmas List! Though I've given up trying to find an actual class, because there are none close enough to where I live :( but that has only hardened my resolve to go and live in England somewhere and learn it there. :D Meanwhile my tap and hip-hop classes are great, escpecially because my hip-hop teacher also owns a dance shop, meaning we can get dance clothes and shoes a lot cheaper.

Also. throught he process of searching for these dance videos, I discovered An Dulra which is an Irish dance show, but the website also had a link to the band who played at this performance called Dealan. So they've been my main focus in music lately, though I can't download their album off the website at the moment because I sadly don't have broadband and file size is too big. But hopefully I'll get it soon...
